Our Free Orientation Course is designed to help you settle into your new life smoothly. Held once a month, this comprehensive session will provide you with all the essential information and guidance you need to make Perth feel like home.

Our orientation covers a wide range of topics to help you adapt to living in Perth:

Creating a Tax File Number (TFN):
- Step-by-step guidance on applying for your TFN
- Understanding the importance of a TFN for work and taxation
Applying for Police Clearance:
- How to apply for a National Police Certificate
- When and why you might need one
Job Search Assistance:
- Tips on writing Australian-style resumes and cover letters
- Navigating job search platforms and resources
- Understanding workplace culture and employment rights
Buying a Car:
- Essential information on purchasing a vehicle in Australia
- Understanding licensing requirements and vehicle registration
- Tips on buying new vs. used cars, and where to look
Settling into Perth:
- Public transportation overview
- Finding accommodation and understanding tenancy agreements
- Exploring local amenities and services
Essential Services Setup:
- Setting up a bank account
- Getting a local SIM card and choosing mobile plans
- Accessing healthcare services and understanding insurance options

Course Schedule:

Frequency: Once a month
Time: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM (including breaks)
Venue: ABS College, Unit 22, 257 Balcatta Road, Balcatta WA 6021

Please note that ABS College reserves the right to cancel training sessions if enrollment is insufficient. To maintain our high training standards, we require a minimum number of participants.
